So I was looking through my gallery to transfer older images that I still like to my laptop, and I came upon my poor neglected podcat characters. And since I get to do a trade with Holly next month (I feel like I won some sort of contest, to be accepted for a trade :D), I figured I could give my podcats some love and do a sort of homage to Holly at the same time, so here we are.

I challenge anyone who has not drawn a podcat to do so, because they're so pretty and fierce and awesome. You can't just have a character, though, because the entire species belongs to Holly. But drawing them is fun.


[EDIT] Geez, you guys. I guess the recent rush of favorites on this one is because Holly posted a link to it in her new podcat deviation (that was sweet, Holly!)...and I was really psyched to see all the faves in my inbox, until I scrolled down and saw that no one had left a comment. I hate to have to do it, but that sort of really gets on my nerves, so:

DON'T ADD THIS AS A FAVORITE UNLESS YOU ALSO LEAVE A COMMENT. It's common courtesy, people. I don't care if all you have to say is "this is nice," just take five seconds to say it. Thanks!

SQUEEEL! omgishness I was so wondering when you were gonna draw your pair again! I haven't seen them in a looooooooooooong time x3 ehehe it makes me happy to see that you still care for them.
I really like the background.. I dunno what draws me to it in particular, its just very simple and effective. I think what I like most is the texture of the path.
You really played them true to character too heheh, Raena prancing along all happily while rulon angsts away infront. The lights look awesome, the colouring technique leaves them looking very swirly almost pulsy (to me atleast!) which is how podcats convey messages without wanting to converse vocally. I wonder if their having a conversation? ^^
The fur is just incredibly gorgeous too, very touchable looking and thick. I particularily like rulons facial fur for some reason heheh.
But this really is excellent, you truelly have the podcat as a species down within your own style. Wonderful work! Its beautiful ;}

I actually kinda have a large/detailed podcat pic in the works myself but iv abandoned it for the moment. I think i'll come back to it seeing this. Its gonna be called "Brave new World" so i'll keep you guessing!

Hooray! I'm so glad you like this, I really do love my little podcats and I put a lot of effort into this drawing. Can't wait to see your next podcat pic!
