Holy crap, it's something other than fanart!!!
I mock myself.
Hhanyway, this is Karen. She used to have grey eyes...now she doesn't. I sort of have this thing about not giving my characters really striking physical features - such as gorgeous natural red hair and true grey eyes. Having two such features in Karen always sort of bothered me. Her red hair is just a part of her, and I could never change that...but I think the grey eyes were sort of forced on her by me. There was one sort of cool line about them that I wanted to include in her story. But as I was coloring this portrait it really started to get to me, and so I switched her eyes to brown as a sort of experiment...
...and was stunned at how much better they suit her. I've always loved the red hair/brown eyes combo, and I think I've finally found who Karen is.
(Robin - if you couldn't tell, Karen as a character was heavily influenced by dear little Angie. This is even more obvious with the eye color change. )

Karen Gibson belongs to me.

Really good emotion in her face! The shadows are a bit deep, methinks, but it's a nice emotive piece.
