Go visit ! She's totally cool, and this is a submission for the contest she's holding. I've been working on this for a week, a little every day. Holly said that multiple entries were allowed, and after drawing them in the margins of my notes for days, I couldn't decide between these two. Therefore, I'm entering them both in one fell swoop. Holly's character Storm is a grey wolf with green eyes and some blue markings on her face; I crossed her respectively with Lea (my cat) and Xinny (my lemur), and came up with these two. I even put Lea and Xin in there for reference (since everyone in the contest knows what Storm looks like).

In the language that I make up as I go along, kaleadora means "lady of golden light," from kale meaning gold and dor meaning light. The pup on the left is named Kalista, golden shadow. Turns out that when you cross a wolf and a cat, the product looks a lot like a kitsune. At least, that's the feel I got while drawing her.... I think she's beautiful!

Xin-li'ra means "pale shining moon," from xine meaning pale, li to shine, and ere meaning moon. Storm would be tale. Therefore, I named the pup on the right Talera, meaning moonstorm. Adorable, huh? I doodled those wolf-padded lemur-hands countless times in my biochemistry notes. And check out the pretty albino eyes!

Anyway, I'm really proud of this. I worked long and hard, and they turned out exactly like I'd imagined, plus I didn't entirely blow off the background. I think I'll give this to myself as an early birthday present.
