this isnt an ending - since when is the last line of anything where it ends? the last line is never an ending. Let the last line be the beginning of greater works by far, and if necessary, let them involve words
Ironically, I, too, find myself with a similar lack of comments. It drives me nuts. What also drives me nuts is generic comments. While they feel good and are better than nothing, they don't tell me much about the reader's experience. Personally, I dislike giving comments unless it is meant to express something meaningful. (Oh, how often I fail at it, too!) To this end, I will often give just a favourite. Time, or lack thereof, is another part of the equation; as is, I must confess, a bit of laziness.
For yourself, I doubt that you are the things of which I gave mention in my previous comment. That said, such is often how I (and others) see such demands. I crave affirmation as well but do not find it becoming to add such things to my descriptions. A way to request more comments while avoiding the demand would be to ask. Examples might include asking for critiques or comments to help improve an idea (meaning future deviations will improve do to the input). If you are striving for a new technique or style or are working on elements that are often hard for you, ask what people think of those specific aspects.

Steph! I've missed your art! (And the fault is all mine!) Remember when you designed a creature for me? I'm working on a picture of it right now. You... you're just amazing. Sometime I should draw what the Eskras would have looked like if not for you.
